Frequently asked questions

Answers about everyday workflows, access, integrations, and the difference between connected records.

What is Soffyt?

Soffyt is an operating platform for contractors. It connects customers, opportunities, quotes, projects, schedules, service, documentation, and payments in one company workspace. Job types and configurable pipelines let different trades follow their own processes while sharing customer and job information.

What is the difference between a customer, opportunity, and project?

The customer is who you work for. An opportunity tracks a potential job and its sales follow-up. A project organizes delivery of the work. A customer can have multiple opportunities, properties, and projects, so a new job does not need a duplicate customer record.

Can I bring records from another system?

Import data accepts CSV files for customers, opportunities, projects, and service tickets, including supported custom fields. You map columns and review matches before importing. Files, signed documents, payments, and historical activity need a separate migration plan.

Why can’t I see a record, field, or setting?

Check your organization, selected pipeline, search, and filters first. Archived records have their own views. Your role and company configuration can also limit access or make a field read-only. Ask your administrator to check those settings.

Does signing a quote schedule the crew?

The enabled handoff automation can create or connect a project and apply a configured flow. It does not book crew appointments. Review the resulting project and use Calendar to assign a visit, date, and resources.

Can customers see everything in the workspace?

No. The portal shows supported records made available to that customer, subject to company defaults and record visibility. Review shared quotes, files, appointments, and payment information before sharing access.

Does connecting email also connect my calendar?

No. Google and Microsoft mailbox connections support email features. They do not by themselves synchronize appointments with Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar.

Review the integrations

Does disconnecting an integration delete its history?

Not automatically. Stored email history and published document versions can remain after disconnecting. Disconnecting stops future access through that connection; deletion is a separate request handled with the organization and applicable retention requirements.

Is job profit the same as money collected?

No. Total Job Profit is the project’s sold value minus tracked job costs. Receipts show money recorded against invoices. A job can show a profit while still having an outstanding customer balance.

How do Dispatch & Time and the calendar work together?

Use the calendar to schedule and assign appointments. Open the separate Dispatch & Time module to see shared live locations, review technician visits and time over a selected period, and manage vehicles and maintenance. A recorded visit links back to its calendar event and related job records. Live location depends on mobile availability, an active shift, the technician enabling sharing, and device permission.

Is the technician mobile app available?

The dedicated mobile app is in development. The planned mobile add-on is $19 per mobile user per month for Starter and Growth, and is included with Scale when available. The website’s mobile illustration is a concept preview, not a live app demonstration.

Where can I find pricing or arrange a walkthrough?

The homepage lists Starter, Growth, and Scale pricing, with monthly and annual billing options. Request a walkthrough to review the workflows, setup, and plan that fit your company.
